4400 block of Alta Canyada Road in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident reported when she entered her home she saw several items along with a laptop computer on the floor. She also found items on the top of her desk had been moved and the window next to the desk, which was not locked, was slightly open. Her bedroom had been ransacked. It did not appear anything was stolen. The resident reported she was not certain if she had locked the front door of her home when she left her residence.
The burglary occurred between 6:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m.
June 12
1200 block of Journey’s End Drive in La Cañada, a safe with personal information, jewelry and designer shoes were stolen from a home. A resident entered his home and found that rooms had been ransacked. It appeared the suspect/suspects removed the window screen from the home’s bathroom. The resident had left the window slightly opened when he left his home. According to the LASD CV Sheriff’s report, it appeared the suspect/suspects used a barbecue that was located in the backyard to gain access to the second story balcony ledge that led to the bathroom window.
The burglary occurred between 6 a.m. and 8:15 p.m.

4500 block of Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada, several electronics including cellphones and an iPad as well as currency were stolen from a home. The resident reported that he had locked and secured his home prior to leaving. When he returned home he found several rooms had been ransacked and electronic items, and cash, were stolen. A kitchen window, which appeared to be the point of entry, had been shattered.
The burglary occurred between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
June 11
600 Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a Downey man was arrested for forgery, passing a factious check, and possession of blank fictitious checks/forgery after he allegedly attempted to buy stamps from the U.S. Post Office in La Cañada with a forged check at 2:12 p.m.
June 10
900 block of Coral Way in La Cañada, a resident reported that someone/s stole two packages containing medical equipment that had been delivered to his home. The packages had been left on the front porch.
The theft was reported at 6:35 p.m.

3000 block of Fairesta Street in La Crescenta, plumbing tools/equipment were stolen, the driver’s side window was smashed and the driver’s side keyhole was punched on a vehicle between midnight and 2 a.m.
June 9
3900 block of Park Place in Montrose, a 31-year-old Montrose man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and assault causing great bodily injury after deputies responded to a call concerning a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she was explaining a doctor’s prescribed change in the man’s medication when he became angry and violent. He accused her of changing the medication and without warning struck the victim in the head with his fist. According to the victim he had not been physical in the past. He continued the attack until she was able to escape. She had texted another person who was able to contact 911.
The incident occurred at 11:15 p.m.
