Glendale police are looking for a woman who is targeting 24 Hour Fitness locations in Glendale and burglarizing the women’s locker rooms.

On May 14, the suspect entered the 24 Hour Fitness at 450 N. Brand Blvd. and claimed to have left her purse in the locker room. She was allowed to enter without showing any member ID. She stayed in the female locker room for about 25 minutes before leaving.

Later two lockers were found to have been broken into with their locks cut. Taken were car keys, a purse, clothing, and jewelry. Another female locker burglary occurred at 24 Hour Fitness’s other Glendale location, 240 N. Brand, on May 19.

It is unknown if the suspect is targeting other fitness centers in the Greater Los Angeles area, but patrons at all fitness facilities should be on the lookout.

The suspect is described as a female between the ages of 22-32, with long black hair and a stocky build.

Any one with information about the identity or whereabouts of this suspect should contact Detective Robert William, Burglary at (818) 548-2097. To leave a tip anonymously, call the Glendale Crime Stoppers at (818) 507-7867.
