4700 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from a Toyota Sequoia overnight.

May 29
3100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, the owner of United Haircutters reported that a man, described as Hispanic, 40 to 45 years old with dark hair, 5’8” to 5’9” tall and weighing 160 to 170 pounds, entered his shop with a young boy described as Hispanic, about 5-years-old, 3’6” tall and weighing about 60 pounds. The man asked and received a haircut and color treatment, the young boy received a haircut. After the services were rendered the man reportedly told the owner he had forgot his wallet in his car and went to retrieve it. Neither the boy nor man returned.
The incident occurred at 1:06 p.m.

May 28
1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a purse and credit cards were stolen from a vehicle parked in the parking lot at the Crescenta Cañada YMCA at 11:42 a.m.

3100 block of Abella Street in La Crescenta, someone opened a box that had been delivered to the residence by Federal Express and stole four bottles of “Essential Oils” between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
May 26
2600 block of Altura Avenue in Montrose, a 24-year-old man is suspected of making criminal threats and annoying phone calls. The victim reported that he had befriended a woman he had met while working in a rehabilitation center. He had allowed her to share his phone plan, she began to abuse it, he cut her out of the plan and her boyfriend, the 24-year-old man, then made threatening phone calls to the victim who was afraid the man would come to his work and cause a disturbance. He was also afraid for his wife’s safety. He believed the man would carry out the threat.

The report was made at 3:14 p.m.

April 26
2700 block of Mayfield Avenue in La Crescenta, a 24-year-old woman is suspected of stealing jewelry and cash from a roommate while she was out of town. The victim confronted her roommate who allegedly told the victim she had taken the cash and would return it; however, that did not happen. The suspect (roommate) moved out in early May and in mid-May the victim discovered jewelry stolen. The victim believes the suspect also stole the jewelry as well.

The initial cash was stolen between April 26-27.
