CV Sheriff’s Station Readies for Rummage Sale

The Crescenta Valley Station volunteers are hosting their annual rummage sale at the Crescenta Valley Station on Saturday, June 4 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The volunteers are asking assistance from the community to donate items that may be resold at the fundraising event.

“This is a great opportunity to clear your garage and closet of items that you do not use or need anymore. We will accept gently used clothes, toys, furniture, sporting equipment, housewares, and small electronic equipment,” stated the CV Sheriff’s volunteers in a release.

All the proceeds go directly to the station volunteer fund. The fund helps support the volunteer program and station events. Some of these programs include Volunteers on Patrol program, Neighborhood Watch program, and the volunteer appreciation banquet. This is the only fundraiser of the year.

In 2015, the Crescenta Valley Station volunteers worked over 6,000 hours, saving the Sheriff’s Dept. thousands of dollars. The station currently has 55 volunteers donating their time to the CV Station.

The annual rummage sale has grown in popularity over the years with bargain hunters coming from all across Southern California to shop.

The CV Station is still collecting donated items to sell. Anyone who would like to donate or would like to have donated items picked up can call the station at (818) 248-3464.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. is located at 4554 N. Briggs Ave. in La Crescenta.
