Hiker Severely Injured at Switzer Falls

Los Angeles County Fire, L.A. County Sheriffs and Montrose Search and Rescue responded today to Switzer Falls at about 11:30 a.m. concerning a hiker who had fallen from the top of the falls.

The 21-year-old male hiker had been hiking with a friend when he apparently slipped from the top of Switzer Falls and fell about 50 feet to the base. He suffered severe trauma to his head and body and was non-responsive when emergency crews hiked to him.

The man was airlifted by LACoFD to Huntington Memorial Hospital. There is no other information available at this time.
