The Sunday Montrose Harvest Market has several items that have been found in and around the market area. Anyone missing an item can contact the Market information booth on Sunday mornings between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

City Safety Video Recognized
The Glendale City Council has received the Communicator Silver Award of Distinction for its “Look 2 Live” video. The Award of Distinction is presented for projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement. The video illustrated the importance of making eye contact with drivers before stepping onto the road. The video was among many steps implemented by the respective city departments to increase pedestrian safety.

Land Use Issues on CVCA Agenda
The Crescenta Valley Community Association will meet on Thursday, May 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 pm at the La Crescenta Library Community Room, 2809 Foothill Blvd.. Discussion will include the high speed rail eastern routes, the 710 Extension DEIR, VHGC development, Rim of the Valley DEIR and other land use issues.

The next CV Alliance Strategic Partners meeting will be held on Friday, June 5 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital fourth floor council rooms at 1812 Verdugo Blvd. in Glendale.

Scholarship Distribution on CVTC Agenda
The CVTC will be distributing scholarships as part of its monthly meeting tonight, Thursday May 21 at 7 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library community room. Also on the agenda are the introduction of the new CV Water District general manager Thomas Love and brief presentations and discussions of the 710 Draft EIR from Metro, Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian and Anthony Portantino.

The La Crescenta Library is located at 2809 Foothill Blvd.

Motion to Request Immediate Pro-active enforcement from County with regard to all illegal signage along Foothill Blvd in the unincorporated areas of La Crescenta.
