Commuters traveling on the Glendale (2) Freeway SR-2 between Oak Glen Place and Rosebud Avenue will experience some delays due to the construction of the soundwall along the freeway through May 15.

According to Caltrans, the northbound Glendale freeway will experience closures scheduled for up to two lanes between the Glendale (2) Freeway and Golden State (5) Freeway from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Closures on the Golden State (5) Freeway – the on and off ramps as well as the connector to the I-5 – will be closed between Glendale Boulevard SR-2 and Golden State Freeway I-5.

Construction dust and noise is anticipated as crews excavate and remove dirt, grind surface layers of pavement and perform other related tasks.

Detours will be posted and minor delays are expected. The California Highway Patrol will be on duty in the area.

Caltrans advised motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.”
