4000 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, a La Crescenta woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
After a routine traffic stop, deputies reportedly observed her using her cellphone while driving. When stopping the vehicle, the deputy allegedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. The woman told the deputy she had a medical marijuana card. After an investigation it was discovered she was in possession of the prescription drug Adderall. She did not have a prescription for that.
The arrest was made at
2300 block of Dorothy Street in La Crescenta, a resident had repaired a fence on his property, then left his home for a few days. When he returned he found that the fence had been vandalized with a piece of the fence cut. He reportedly has had some issues with neighbors in the past.
The incident occurred between April 30 and May 7.
2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, the front passenger window of a vehicle was smashed between 9:20 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, deputies responded to a call concerning a suspicious person in the area of Home Goods. A witness said the man was the ex-husband of an employee and was concerned for the employee’s safety. The store manager stated the employee had a restraining order against the husband, who had been inside the store. An employee had taken the ex-husband into a storage room and asked him to leave; he also reportedly told him his ex-wife was not working on that day. Deputies found the man nearby and discovered syringes, one filled with red liquid substance. The man allegedly told deputies the syringe-contained methamphetamine.
The Glendale man was arrested on violation of a domestic violence restraining order and suspicion of possession of a controlled substance at 4:30 p.m.
2800 block of Highridge Road in La Crescenta, a resident hired a moving company to move from one residence to another. The man helped move the items as well. At the end of the day he discovered that cash and personal checks were stolen from a backpack that was in one of the homes.
The incident occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.
