Burglary at Verdugo Road Business

A burglary at a business in the 3300 block of Verdugo Road occurred on Sunday between 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

A window was smashed and the cash register was taken and left on a sidewalk near the business.

Glendale police responded and the incident is under investigation.

    Why so coy? If the public’s help is being solicited, why not give the name of the business that was burglarized? Why is your paper’s policy to never name companies that are victims of criminal acts?

    • Thanks for writing. Generally the sheriffs and Glendale PD don’t provide the name of the business (may be under investigation, etc.) so we can’t include it. When they don’t black it out on the report, we include it.
