Fire engines from across Los Angeles County, including Glendale and LA County Fire, lined the overpasses of the Foothill (210) freeway this afternoon to honor a fallen comrade.
Capt. David Bailey, 50, died while exercising at Camp 14 in Saugas. He was an 18-year veteran of LA County Fire Department. Firefighters stood at attention as the hearse carrying his body and the fire department procession, traveled passed beneath them.
Bailey’s body was being transported from Burbank to Santa Clarita.

Nice Mary. Thank you for reporting this. I love the way both the fire dept and police honor their fallen…as they should. SUE
Thanks for sharing this~we witnessed this amazing display on 4 different freeways!
Was curios to know what it was all about.
I Drove from Glendale, across the 134, to the 2 North, and 210 west to Pacoima. I had no idea what was going on at the time. Now that I know, I think this is great, i would of honked and saluted as I went by. My sympathy to his family, friends, and coleagues.
