County Building Struck by Motorist

A County of Los Angeles Dept. of Social Services building in the 4600 block of San Fernando Road in Glendale was struck by a motorist this morning. The Sheriff’s Dept., which has an office in the building, Glendale PD and Glendale Fire are on scene.

According to Glendale Police, it appears a 59-year-old woman was driving her Honda Accord through the parking lot with her 22-year-old daughter and accidently accelerated rather than breaking and went through the building. A water line was damaged, resulting in flooding of the DPSS building. The 59-year-old woman complained of pain to her neck and was transported to Glendale Memorial Hospital. Her 22-year-old daughter did not sustain any injuries.
