Super Bowl Sunday DUI Results

Glendale police were busy on Super Bowl Sunday with five DUI (Driving Under the Influence) arrests including one DUI arrest for marijuana and an active warrant; two DUI alcohol arrests; one suspended driver’s license arrest. One passenger was arrested for having a warrant.

Pedestrian/Bicycle Operation
On Friday, Jan. 30 five GPD officers worked the Pedestrian/Bicycle Operation program from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and in that time period wrote a total of 54 citations that included 10 citations for riding a bicycle the wrong way; five for jaywalking; six for pedestrians walking against the “Don’t Walk” signal; two for pedestrian failure to obey signs; 19 for people riding their bicycles on the sidewalk; six for pedestrians against a red light; three for drivers going through a red light; one for failure to stop at a stop sign; one for an unsafe turn; one for a pedestrian crossing the street in an unmarked crosswalk. Two warnings were also given.
