At about 2 a.m. on Sunday Glendale police responded to a call concerning two suspicious men in the area of Oakendale Place and Glenwood Avenue attempting to open vehicle doors. When the officer arrived at the location he allegedly saw two men, later identified as Eddie Gibbs, 18, of Sherman Oaks and Brandon Hardman, 21, of Glendale exiting a vehicle.

The officer attempted to approach the two men but they did not comply. The two suspects ran from the officer.  When other officers arrived a perimeter was established to search for the suspects, according to a Glendale police report.

An investigation allegedly found that two vehicles in the area had been ransacked. Neighbors began calling Glendale police reporting that someone was running through their backyard. The Glendale police K9 unit assisted as well as air support.

Police created a command post and officers searched the area. One of the suspects was discovered on the rooftop of a business in the 2900 block of Honolulu Avenue.

At 7 a.m.  police were contacted about a man matching the description of the second suspect walking near Montrose and Ramsdell avenues. Officers witnessed the suspect running through the yards in the neighborhood. He was arrested in the 3300 block of Montrose Avenue.
