ASI Holding Auditions

The Arturo Sandoval Institute is holding auditions for the 2015 All Star Youth Band that will be performing with Sandoval at the Save the Music 3 concert on Saturday, April 11 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale.

Group instrumentation includes two alto saxophones, two tenor saxophones, barisax, five trumpets, four trombones, bass trombone, piano, guitar, bass, drums and percussion.

Audition requirements include a recommendation by the school’s music director and submitting a video of the applicant playing.

Teens Invited to ‘Ugly Sweater’ Party

An ugly sweater party for teens only is tonight, Thursday, Dec. 18, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Ark, 4409 La Crescenta Ave. This event is free and sponsored by CVYA (youth alliance). There will be chaperones! For information, email info@cv-alliance.org.
