On Oct. 24, Valley View kicked off the fall season with its Harvest Carnival. The event brought together Valley View students so they could enjoy each other’s company away from the day-to-day school schedule while providing fun activities for the attendees.

“We just want the kids to have fun and relax outside of school with their friends and family,” event coordinator Marilyn Wright said.

As elementary witches and miniature unidentifiable creatures came together on the Saturday afternoon, the glee on the children’s faces made apparent the fun they were having as they sprinted to the most popular game booths. Bean bag tosses, soccer shootouts, money grabbing, a bounce house slide, the cake walk and Korean barbecue were only some of the things to do at the carnival.

“This is a great event. We planned this on Saturday so more parents could tag along with their kids. We just wanted to bring families together so they can enjoy themselves with their children,” said event DJ  Chae Hwang.

The Valley View families had fun, playing games and dining on favorite foods.
