GPO Holding Auditions
The Glendale Pops Orchestra is holding auditions for The Glendale Pops Youth Chorus. This all student/all city choir will perform under the direction of Choral Director Rod Yonkers and Artistic Director/Conductor Matt Catingub at the Dec. 7 HolidayPOP! performance at the historic Alex Theatre in Glendale.

Pancakes at Fremont
Fremont Elementary School is hosting a pancake breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the school. The cost is $5. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausages, fruit and drink. Music will be provided by Rosemont Middle School orchestra. There will also be a Scholastic book fair in the auditorium and a pumpkin patch.

Funds raised benefit the sixth grade trip to Camp Highland.

ALG Offers SAT Help
The Assistance League of Glendale offers SAT seminars starting Oct. 8 through Nov. 1 for $45.

There are four sessions of math and four of English that run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays or on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The sessions are held at 314 E. Harvard St., Glendale. Registration forms are available at www.alglendale.org/sat.htm, local high school counselors’ offices or at Thrift Alley, 314-A Harvard St.
