In October, two members of the La Crescenta Woman’s Club, Margaret Dickson and Marianne Jennings, formed a troop for six young Girl Scout Daisies. Daisies are in grades kindergarten through first and meet in a nurturing inclusive environment. They go on trips, learn about nature and science, explore the arts and learn about their communities. Girl Scout Daisies can also earn “learning petals” and receive participation patches.

Some of the activities this group enjoyed include international day at Pacific Park in Glendale, which is sponsored by the Girl Scouts, Christmas caroling in Sparr Heights with a group of approximately 50 girls from Fremont Elementary School, and walking in the Montrose Christmas Parade.

In May, the troop presented a plaque to Carol Huntwork, president of LCWC, for providing them a place to hold their ceremonies.
