Stan Lee’s Comikaze was held last weekend at the L.A. Convention Center. A comic book and pop culture convention held over the weekend of Halloween, the obvious draw was for cosplayers – fans who create very elaborate costumes to dress up in. Amateurs and professionals alike were called to the con to show off their cosplay. Some of the best were the citizens of Arkham Asylum (top) and Traci Hines, better known as Hipster Ariel, as Harley Quinn with Black Canary (above right). Cosplay or no, this con had a lot to offer all fans, including CV Weekly’s designer Steve Hernandez (left), who scored a great copy of a key issue in Marvel history – Amazing Spider-Man issue 121, the death of Gwen Stacy.
