It’s almost that time of the year: the 82nd Hollywood Christmas Parade, benefiting Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, is coming to the streets of Hollywood on Sunday, Dec. 1. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. with a pre-show, followed by the parade commencing at 6 p.m.  This is one of the few times in the parade’s history that the parade is being held in December, closer to the holidays.

Jim Romanovich, president of Worldwide Media for Associated Television International that will be producing the parade for telecasts on multiple traditional and digital platforms, said, “This year’s event will be very special for parade attendees as we will be presenting all of the musical performances on the red carpet area in front of the grandstands. This year, we are also enjoying more community involvement and participation in the parade as local businesses recognize the advantage of being part of one of the great traditions in Hollywood.”

Erik Estrada (“World’s Funniest Moments,” “CHiPS”) and Laura McKenzie (“World’s Funniest Moments,” “Laura McKenzie’s Traveler”) will serve as broadcast hosts of the parade. Dean Cain (“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “Ripley’s Believe It or Not!”) and Montel Williams (“The Montel Williams Show”) will return in their roles as special featured hosts.  The grand marshal of this year’s parade will be announced soon.

The 82nd Hollywood Christmas Parade Benefiting Marine Toys for Tots Foundation will feature celebrities from film, television and stage, award-winning bands, colorful equestrians, ornate floats, spectacular live performers, festive balloons and popular characters/novelties. This year, as in past years, the parade will be produced in association with the City of Los Angeles.
