“Attack on Titan” is a huge hit in America and worldwide. The manga-turned-anime-turned-live-action-film property follows Eren, played in the film by Haruma Miura. Eren lives with the last faction of humanity after the world was taken over by titans- a race of giants who eat humans. The last remaning humans have built a city behind three concentric walls, keeping the titans out. Until one titan, larger than any previously seen, comes crashing through the wall. Eren volunteers for the squadron sent out to repair the wall and exterminate the titans who broke in. This ragtag group of farmers and merchants must become soldiers, or else they’ll become a titan’s meal.

The world premiere was held last Wednesday at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, before it opens in Japan on August 1, and worldwide after. This two part film saga will debut with Part 1 this fall.
