Sitting on stage, I was ALSO mesmerized by the brilliant, inspiring, and virtuosic artistry of Mr. Pezzone! I am so fortunate in having the pleasure and honor of working with this beautifully diverse musician in a variety of different environments. Bryan Pezzone is a truly inspiring musicians' musician!

Re: Disapproves of Rev’s Response,
No, I do not think that because others do not read the Bible they do not have moral ethical religious beliefs. They are just not from God. The worst sinner can give a beggar a quarter, which is morally sound, but that doesn't make her godly, it only shows that she, like everyone else, has the image of God resident (even if she denies his uniqueness in favor of "atheists, Wicca and God knows what else" including "Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Mormons, etc").
And I am not "self" righteous, I am only righteous because God declares me so by virtue of my faith in Jesus Christ. He says so. Take it up with him if you have a problem with his estimation of me and all other Christians. It is you that has a problem with us, it seems.
And no, I do not believe in any other religion. Religion is not true just because people believe in worshiping idols or good luck charms, it's either true or not because it is true or not. Jesus came in person, that's true. No other religion believes in him as he has revealed himself. Ergo, they are either wrong or they are right about him, but we can't all be correct when we all say something different about the truth. 2+2 = 4, or it doesn't. To me, Jesus equals the correct sum while all others get an F since they deny the biblical revelation (which is how we know anything about him in the first place). That is why I am a Christian pastor and not in some cult or other religious persuasion. Don't get upset, get on board; that's the Christian message. Jesus is the Savior. Is he yours? No? Is that my "patronizing," "demeaning" problem, or yours???

It is a shame that Verdugo was hurting for business so badly that now, long time loyal golfers and patrons of the course have to accommodate and deal with a bunch of moronic frat boys, high-fiving in their Dave Matthews shirts and throwing frisbees around. Guess what, its not a sport. It won't ever be a sport. Maybe they should hold the next bi-annual dork of life hackey sack competition there too? Total bummer.

This is a great idea! I saw the "nets" a few weeks ago but there is nothing listed on the Verdugo Hills Golf Course website about it. They need to put this information on there!

To the staff at CV Weekly, thank you for your detailed and compassionate reporting. Our community has been hit so hard by this tragedy, and being a CVHS mother of a boy the same age as Drew, has shaken me to my core. I didn't know Drew before his death, but I feel like he belongs to all of us now. His death has made all of us hug our children just a little bit tighter I think. My heart goes out to the Ferraro family - there are no words possibly that can come close to describing their tragic loss. I have read many reports over the past week, and the CV Weekly article has been the most informative and perfect in illustrating the pulse of the community. I hope you will keep Drew's story alive and the positive changes that will hopefully develop and last in our sweet little community going forward, and to ensure that this precious young mans life and death will not have been in vain. R.I.P. Sweet Drew.

Did she not have a phone? And maybe if she did there might have not been any signal. This is why one should always have a buddy. And to top it off I carry my ham radio on outtings like this where the odds of not having cell service are high.

Dear Crescents Valley Community,
lets not wait until there is another tragedy, like the one we experienced this past week at C.V.H.S., to educate our young people on how to get help. Let us reach out together now to tell every child and teen that they matter and there are people willing and waiting to help. Our hearts go out to all those who knew and loved Drew Ferraro.
If you know a teen in crisis please give them the number to the Safe Place hot line - 888-641-2297.
Sincerely,
Safe Place Teen Crisis Network
Serving Glendale, La Cañada, La Crescenta, & Montrose

I left La Crescenta in the 1960s and early 70s and remember Palmer's Miniature Golf very well. Another fun spot for kids was the creek running through La Crescenta Park - which was turned into a concrete flood control channel when I visited a few years ago. We used catch a fair number of crawdads and frogs in the creek back in the day. Anyone recall when the bison from the Circle T Ranch broke free and roamed through town?
