In this season of Thanksgiving we would like to introduce you to some of the dedicated people who help make the Montrose Shopping Park the quaint shopping destination it is:
Danny Pranata (front, left), our secretary, is a lawyer and partner in the Sullivan Workman & Dee law firm. His family owns Honolulu Wood & Things. Danny, his wife, and 3-year old daughter love Montrose and reside locally.
Vito Cannella (front, center) has been working in Montrose since 1957, most recently at the Montrose Barber Shop. He was instrumental in establishing National Flag Week and was awarded Knight of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Italy.
Dale Dawson (front, right), our executive director, owns Mountain Rose Gifts. He has served on the MSPA board for eight years both as treasurer and president. Serving and doing things right are in Dale’s blood. He is a direct descendant of Wyatt Earp and William Penn (of the Pennsylvania Penns). Dale also pastors Chatsworth Lake Christian Church.
Yours truly Mary Dawson (rear, left), our vice president, owns Revelation Tops with her sister Carole. Mary was a vice president at Revelation Inc. when it was a statewide chain. She was there for 20 years. Mary also leads the Women’s Fellowship at her church and teaches Sunday school.
Maureen Palacios (rear, center), our treasurer, owns Once Upon A Time, the oldest children’s bookstore in the nation. Maureen has a degree in theatre from USC. She also was a human resources consultant for 20 years. Maureen, her husband and her two lovely high school daughters have a heart for Montrose and can often be seen at the store.
Alyce Russell (rear, right), our president, owns Andersen’s Pets and Ocean View Bistro. She is the executive director for The Glendale Humane Society. Alyce was born and raised locally. Her parents owned Andersen’s since 1956. She resides in Whiting Woods with her husband Tom. They both are great servants of Montrose.
Thank you M.S.P.A. board for all you do!
