“You and I possess within ourselves, at every moment, under all circumstances, the power to transform the quality of our lives.”

Do you want to be more influential and powerful? Do you want to make an impact on the world? Do you want to transform the quality of your life and the lives of others? If you’re like most entrepreneurs who want to increase your effect on others and have the power to transform the quality of your life, then you need to know the right steps.

David G. Javitch, Ph.D., Entrepreneur.com’s “Employee Management” columnist, says that “Gaining power is a four-step process that can be easily learned. It takes insight, openness and willingness to make some changes.” He says, “To start, think about a few crucial definitions. First, we have influence – the ability to make people do things they wouldn’t have done without our input or impact. The result of that is what we know as power. No influence, no power.”

Dr. Javitch’s four steps to gain influence and the power to transform your life and the lives of others as an entrepreneur are: 1) know your goals;  2) tell yourself you can do it, while minimizing all negative thoughts; 3) take inventory of your tools, your strengths and use them and 4) build relationships.

The Chamber can help you with number four. We have many opportunities for you to join us at mixers, banquets, events, fundraisers, expos and more. Every time you step out and meet new people you will be building relationships and taking the power to transform your life and the lives of others.
