The 39th Annual Oktoberfest in Montrose that took place on Saturday was a huge success and we know that it could not have been possible without our community sponsors and our fantastic volunteer organizations. I would like to take this opportunity to once again say thank you to our many sponsors whose generosity made this event possible. As you may or may not know, Oktoberfest is a completely volunteer led event put on in Montrose. We absolutely could not succeed with this event without the help of our many volunteers and we want to make sure we recognize their contribution to our event: VFW, La Crescenta Woman’s Club, Wells Fargo Bank, CV Insurance, Knights of Columbus, Dilbeck La Crescenta/La Cañada, Rossmoyne Inc., John Sparr Tavern, Berkshire Hathaway/Century 21, Clark Magnet High School student volunteers, Montrose Search and Rescue, Arbitrage Real Estate Group, Crescenta-Cañada Rotary, Montrose Travel, Prom Plus Club, CVHS National Honor Society, CVHS California Scholarship Federation, Boy Scout Troop Nos. 118, 303, 317 and 319, Lisa Lee Sarkissian and Friends, Glendale Elks Lodge, CV Weekly and various community supporting individuals. We hope you join us for our November business mixer on Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the New Moon Restaurant in Montrose hosted by the YMCA of the Foothills. Our mixers are a great way to mingle with other business owners in the community, do some networking and learn about a business in Montrose you might not have known about. We will be having several ribbon cuttings in the next month and hope you can join us as we welcome several new businesses to the Montrose area.
