City Council, Starbucks Under
Construction, Business Resources
The Honolulu Road Diet was not voted on Tuesday night by the Glendale City Council, but the good news is that the city council is taking into consideration the concerns of the community in the Montrose area. It is great to see the process working. The City of Glendale Planning Department presented their findings of the road diet to the City Council on Tuesday; however, due to two council members not being present, the vote will have to wait for the July 10 meeting.
This meeting was a chance for the community to voice their opinions. City council patiently listened to over 90 minutes of statements for and against the road diet from community members and businesses and still would like to hear more. Councilman Ara Najarian requested that concerned citizens please send their opinions both for and against to him personally so he can make an informed decision. He asked everyone to be very specific. If you have a comment please send it to email@example.com.
The Starbucks that is coming to the corner of Ocean View Boulevard and Honolulu Avenue in Montrose has begun construction. They expect to be under construction for the next three months. As they are working, they are mindful of the community and are making every effort to stay low key and just get the job done. At various times you might see dumpsters or various large pieces of equipment, but do not worry. Starbucks respects the community and will not be leaving dumpsters sitting on the main roads for long periods of time. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Chamber office.
I want to let all the businesses know about two opportunities to help your business that are coming up in the next month.
