Montrose Travel negotiates exclusive Costa Rica familiarization trip for its team of independent contractors.
Earlier this month, a team of independent contractors from Montrose Travel’s MTravel.com Hosting Division traveled to Costa Rica on an educational familiarization trip to explore numerous properties and local excursions. Montrose Travel currently hosts 500-plus independent travel professionals nationwide.
Teamed with representatives from participating supplier partners, their team of independent contractors and Montrose Travel associates traveled to San Jose, Arenal, Monteverde, and Guanacaste on a seven-day trip that included 23 hotel and resort visits.
For the second consecutive year, Montrose Travel has worked with Pleasant Holidays to organize an exclusive event for their independent contractors and associates to experience a destination firsthand. These unique experiences provide their knowledgeable travel professionals the opportunity to immerse themselves in the country and gain valuable insights as they visit numerous resort properties. By experiencing Costa Rica in person, their travel professionals will be able to give better customer service and vacation suggestions to their clients embarking on their own Costa Rican vacations.
Jim O’Brien of Achieve Your Dream Travel, an independent contractor of Montrose Travel, heard of the friendliness of the Costa Ricans and the country’s diverse beauty.
“Gaining firsthand experience with Pura Vida was a fabulous experience,” said O’Brien. “Participating on the trip enabled me to speak authoritatively with my clients about Costa Rica, our travel partners and the hotels and resorts we visited.”
While in Costa Rica, Montrose Travel associates were able to also experience local excursions such as ziplining above the Cloud Forest canopy, hiking to waterfalls and enjoying the Costa Rican cuisine.
In addition to giving their independent contractors the opportunity to gain valuable destination knowledge, Montrose Travel, as a host agency, provided many benefits that further secured their position as a top competitor in the host agency arena.
As a family-oriented company, Montrose Travel’s MTravel.com team works to get to know each independent contractor personally, and tailors their support to the agent’s needs.
Each independent contractor also has access to the mentoring support of the Business Development team, as well as award-winning programs in training, technology, and marketing.
“I don’t know any agency that comes close to matching what Montrose Travel does,” said O’Brien. “That’s the primary reason why I’m very glad to be a part of the Montrose team.”
