This week we filled an empty seat on the CV Chamber board of directors. Please help me welcome Keith M. Hobbs, MBA, FACHE and new CEO of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. Hobbs comes from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, holding multiple leadership positions over more than 20 years.
Hobbs most recently served as vice president of ancillary services, support services and supply chain at CHLA. In that role, he was responsible for the operational and financial oversight of the departments of radiology, pathology and anesthesiology critical care medicine, along with guest services, environmental services, environmental health and safety, security, parking and all contracted services at CHLA.
Keith Hobbs is proud to join the exceptional team at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital and proud to join the CV Chamber board of directors. He believes in the power of community and has a special place in his heart for this community in particular. Keith and his wife Marilee grew up in La Crescenta and La Cañada. He attended Crescenta Valley High School, graduating in 1984. He and his wife currently live in Santa Clarita with their three children.
We also added two new members to the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce roster of businesses.
Hexagon Automotive is a complete automotive service facility specializing in foreign and domestic cars. They have been serving the foothill community since 1994. Ahmad Nawabi moved here from London, England with a degree in mechanical engineering. The technicians at Hexagon Automotive are capable of repairs on any type of vehicle. Hilda’s Alterations and Tux Rentals is moving into the space previously occupied by Alicia’s Formal and Tuxedo Shop. Owner Hilda Xicara promises to carry on many of the same services offered by Alicia’s including wedding alterations, tux rentals, and all types of alterations including hems, zippers, etc. Hilda said opening this store is a dream come true for her. Since she was 17, she’s altered and hand made many of her own clothes to fit her petite frame. She looks forward to helping other people look and feel their best in well-fitting clothes. Hilda, along with Angelita, a former Alicia’s employee, plan to offer personal, customized assistance to all their clients. The shop will open by March 15 when their hours will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Saturday or she’ll meet you by appointment. Hilda can be reached at (818) 429-9891.
