Moving Forward with a Clean-Up Plan

“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”  Larry Elder

Is one of your goals to clean out the garage and get rid of old televisions or computers that are taking up space? Our wish is that you bring them on Saturday, Jan. 21 to our free e-waste recycling event. It is the best place for you to dispose of those items that you replaced with your new Christmas presents or help you make space in your garage to maybe park your car instead of storing old e-waste that is just gathering dust. Bring your PCs, CPUs, televisions, CRT monitors, printers, fax machines, copiers or most other electronics to the CV Chamber office parking lot for e-recycling. Call the chamber if you have a question about what electronics they will take. The CV Chamber and SoCal Recycling are organizing this event that will take place at the chamber office parking lot at Palms Plaza, 3131 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. SoCal Recycling will make sure your e-waste is properly handled, disposed of and recycled. They also include identity theft protection via data destruction of your hard drives. And the best part of it is that you are helping the environment and putting less in the landfills!

SoCal Recycling provides free recycling collection to businesses in the greater Los Angeles area and operates recycling centers throughout Southern California.

They recycle glass, aluminum, plastic, bundled cardboard and paper, electronics, clothing and shoes. As a pioneer in green business, SoCal Recycling has grown from a small, independent business to a professional service provider with a fleet of trucks never too far away from a customer who needs an extra pick-up. They also have six recycling buy-back centers throughout Los Angeles and Anaheim. Because of their focus on Los Angeles and its communities, they have been able to provide unparalleled service personalized to each business they partner with and financial incentives for smarter green business solutions. They value each and every customer. Convenient and efficient recycling programs are vital to the overall success of their organization and they are driven to pave a path towards a brighter tomorrow.

Please drop off your e-waste, glass, aluminum, plastic, bundled cardboard and paper, electronics, clothing and shoes at the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce Saturday, Jan. 21. You can also call SoCal Recycling at (323) 582-8801 to see how they can help your business with recycling.
