The USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Women’s Council hosted its annual holiday luncheon on Dec. 10 at the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale. It was a festive occasion celebrating the success of the recent boutique wine tasting event that raised over $20,000 dedicated to improving the hospital nursery. Donated funds will be utilized to freshen the décor of the nursery and to purchase two state-of-the-art breast pumps.
Pauline Hendricks, founding member of the Women’s Council, was granted honorary membership in the organization for her dedication and support to the group since 1972. Chairperson Ruth McNevin announced that plans are underway for a casino night fundraiser slated at the hospital on Feb. 10. All are encouraged to mark their calendars to come, have fun and support USC VHH.
