To demonstrate support to our veterans, the Crescenta Valley Weekly has agreed to publish a monthly column to inform veterans and their families on current veteran affairs, aid them in job research and keep them abreast of national, local and social events pertinent to their needs.

Andy Gero, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1614 and the American Legion Post 288 in La Crescenta, has agreed, with the aid of fellow Post officers, to submit information for this column.

To all veterans in Crescenta Valley: The Crescenta Valley VFW Post 1614 and the American Legion Post 288 honors each of you for your service to our country, your dedication and the sacrifice you made to protect our homeland and the constitutional rights of our citizens.

Veterans are cordially invited with their families to attend the VFW monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. and the American Legion monthly meeting is on the first Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.      Come and share your military experience and your needs (membership is not required). Dedicated and knowledgeable members of our Posts are there to greet and assist you.

Crescenta Valley VFW Post 1614 and the American Legion Post 288 is located at 4011 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta
