Kiwanis members serve their communities all year long. But the excitement for service really builds in April each year when Kiwanis members come together for Kiwanis One Day – a day of community service that is felt around the world.
On Saturday, April 18, Kiwanis members along with the Builders Club and Key Club of La Cañada High School joined forces at the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge. Over 15 members from the noon Kiwanis Group and over 30 students worked together to accomplish six different projects.
Projects included sanding and painting storage sheds, removing wallpaper, installing shade screens, washing windows and doors, and repainting picnic tables and chairs. Students left with smiles on their faces and paint on their clothes and the Kiwanians felt it was a perfect example of teamwork.
