In March the Point Loma Singers (PLS), one of Point Loma Nazarene University’s music groups, left San Diego for a one week tour of British Columbia and Alberta, Canada with a stop in Idaho. Justin Park of La Crescenta is a member of PLS and toured with the group. In addition to flights to and from Seattle, the group drove 2,000 miles, visiting and performing at churches along the way.
The week was filled with concerts at Bethany Newton United Church and churches of the Nazarene, including Abbotsford, Guildford, Living Hope, Kelowna, Calgary, Red Deer Westpark, and Coeur d’Alene. PLS also performed in private homes as well as an impromptu concert in Tim Horton’s, the Canadian version of Dunkin Donuts.
Dr. Keith Pedersen, director of PLS and a Canadian citizen, organized and led the music tour.
